  • Rockets' Alperen Sengun: Brings defense in win

Sengun (back) tallied 18 points (6-10 FG, 6-8 FT), six assists, three rebounds, three blocks and one steal across 36 minutes Monday in the Rockets' 105-103 win over the Knicks.

Though Sengun fell short of his season-long averages in points (21.2) and rebounds (9.2), he salvaged his night by providing his most blocks since Jan. 17 while also shining as a facilitator. Perhaps more important than his production was the fact that Sengun logged 36 minutes, an encouraging sign after he missed Saturday's loss to Atlanta with lower-back pain.

  • Jericho Sims C | MIL

Knicks' Jericho Sims: Gets 29 minutes in return

Sims (illness) started at center and tallied four points (2-3 FG) and seven rebounds across 29 minutes in Monday's 105-103 loss to the Rockets.

The 29 minutes were a season high for Sims, who took on a big workload in his return from a three-game absence while usual starting center Isaiah Hartenstein (Achilles) missed a second straight game and while Precious Achiuwa logged most of his minutes at power forward in place of the injured Julius Randle (shoulder). Sims could draw another start Wednesday in Orlando if Hartenstein remains out, though Sims will likely see his minutes drop back into the teens -- if he doesn't fall out of the rotation entirely -- following the All-Star break, when Hartenstein should be ready to play with little or no restrictions.

  • Rudy Gobert C | MIN

Timberwolves' Rudy Gobert: Records double-double in win

Gobert had 17 points (6-10 FG, 5-5 FT), 10 rebounds and four blocks in 33 minutes during Monday's 121-100 win over the Clippers.

Gobert extended his double-double streak to five games, and his four swatted balls lifted him to eighth place in the category with a seasonal average of 2.1 blocks per game. In his second season with the Timberwolves, Gobert is averaging 13.8 points and 12.5 rebounds over 52 games.

  • Nikola Jokic C | DEN

Nuggets' Nikola Jokic: Abandoned in loss

Jokic amassed 29 points (13-25 FG, 2-5 3Pt, 1-3 FT), 12 rebounds and eight assists over 32 minutes during Monday's 112-95 loss to Milwaukee.

Jokic led the Nuggets in points, rebounds and assists on a night when the team was held to under 100 points for just the fourth time all season. Jamal Murray (leg) and Kentavious Caldwell-Pope (hamstring) both exited the game at halftime due to respective injuries, and while both appear to be minor, the All-Star break could be coming at a convenient time for Denver.

  • Spurs' Victor Wembanyama: Delivers historic game

Wembanyama produced 27 points (10-14 FG, 2-4 3Pt, 5-6 FT), 14 rebounds, five assists, 10 blocks and two steals over 29 minutes during Monday's 122-99 win over Toronto.

Wembanyama became the fourth rookie in NBA history to record a triple-double with blocks, joining David Robinson, Ralph Sampson and Mark Eaton. Wembanyama became the first player to record a triple-double featuring blocks since Clint Capela (groin) in 2021. The rookie is the only player to record at least 25 points, 10 rebounds, 10 blocks and five assists in the last 40 years.

  • Hawks' Onyeka Okongwu: Injures toe late Monday

Hawks head coach Quin Snyder said after Monday's 136-126 loss to the Bulls that Okongwu didn't play the final 3:58 of the contest due to a toe injury, Brad Rowland of the Locked On Podcast Network reports. He posted 11 points (5-8 FG, 0-1 3Pt, 1-2 FT), 12 rebounds, one assist and one block in 33 minutes prior to departing.

Okongwu's status will need to be monitored in advance of Wednesday's game against Charlotte. Snyder didn't go into much detail regarding the severity of Okongwu's injury, but Atlanta may have merely been exercising an abundance of caution with the 23-year-old. Clint Capela (groin) isn't expected to be available until after the All-Star break, so if Okongwu ends up sitting out Wednesday, Atlanta could be forced to rely heavily on Bruno Fernando as its fill-in starter at center. Starting power forward Jalen Johnson could also see some action as a small-ball center.

  • Paul Reed C | DET

    76ers' Paul Reed: Consistency continues

Reed finished with 13 points (6-10 FG, 0-1 3Pt, 1-1 FT), eight rebounds, one assist, two blocks and two steals over 29 minutes during Monday's 123-121 win over the Cavaliers.

Reed is averaging 10.5 points, 7.2 rebounds and 1.9 assists in 17 games as a starter this season. The 24-year-old grades is a quality two-way rebounder and defensive playmaker, with Monday's production being indicative of realistic rest-of-season expectations.

  • Hornets' Nick Richards: Leads battle on the glass

Richards finished with 13 points (6-6 FG, 1-3 FT), nine rebounds, one assist and one block across 26 minutes during Monday's 111-102 win over the Pacers.

Richards was one of three Hornets with at least nine rebounds Tuesday, fueling a 46 to 32 advantage over Indiana in the rebounding battle. He has burst onto the scene as a top nightly rebounder, and his 67.9 percent shooting is the third-highest mark in the league.

  • Myles Turner C | MIL

Pacers' Myles Turner: Hot start Monday

Turner ended Monday's 111-102 loss to the Hornets with 22 points (8-13 FG, 1-5 3Pt, 5-5 FT), five rebounds, one assist, two blocks and two steals in 31 minutes.

Turner poured in Indiana's first 11 points of the game, but he delivered modest output down the stretch of the contest. Monday represented Turner's second consecutive game with at least 20 points and his 19th game with 20-plus points this season.

  • Duop Reath C | ATL

Trail Blazers' Duop Reath: Expected back for Tuesday

Reath (knee) is probable for Tuesday's game against Minnesota.

Reath has missed two straight contests while recovering from a right knee injury, but he should be cleared in time to take the court Tuesday evening. The team should have another update on his availability closer to tipoff.
