  • Jusuf Nurkic C | UTA

Hornets' Jusuf Nurkic: Not starting Friday

Nurkic won't start Friday's game against the Celtics.

With Mark Williams (foot) and Moussa Diabate (illness) sidelined, Nurkic drew a spot start Wednesday and posted 26 points (12-19 FG, 0-2 3Pt, 2-4 FT), nine rebounds and four assists in 26 minutes during a 126-96 loss to the Raptors. However, with Williams back in action, Nurkic will operate off the bench Friday.

  • Knicks' Mitchell Robinson: Starting Friday

Robinson is in the Knicks' starting lineup against the Cavaliers on Friday, Kristian Winfield of the New York Daily News reports.

Robinson will make his third start of the season due to the absence of Karl-Anthony Towns (knee). Robinson has averaged 4.8 points, 7.4 rebounds, 1.0 assists and 1.4 blocks over 16.4 minutes per game over his last five outings.

  • Mavericks' Anthony Davis: Upgraded to available

Davis (groin) is in the starting lineup for Friday's game against the Raptors.

Davis will suit up for this matchup and should handle his regular workload in the frontcourt as one of Dallas' primary offensive weapons. The superstar big man has averaged 18.7 points. 8.9 rebounds, 3.3 assists and 1.4 blocks per game over his last seven games.

  • Pacers' Thomas Bryant: Starting Friday

Bryant is in the Pacers' starting lineup against the Magic on Friday.

Bryant will make his eighth start of the season (and third since the beginning of March) due to the absence of Myles Turner (knee). Bryant has averaged 5.4 points and 2.9 rebounds over 11.3 minutes per game over his last 10 outings.

  • Goga Bitadze C | ORL

Magic's Goga Bitadze: Promoted to starting role

Bitadze is in the starting lineup for Friday's game against the Pacers.

Bitadze's minutes have plummeted in recent weeks, and the lowest point came on April 4 when he logged a mere three minutes off the bench in a win over the Wizards. However, the Magic are resting most of their regular starters Friday, so Bitadze should see an uptick in his usage rate. He'll start alongside Cory Joseph, Tristan da Silva, Gary Harris and Caleb Houstan.

  • Joel Embiid C | PHI

76ers' Joel Embiid: Undergoes successful surgery

The 76ers announced Friday that Embiid underwent successful arthroscopic surgery on his left knee Wednesday, and he will be re-evaluated in approximately six weeks, Ky Carlin of USA Today reports.

Embiid has already been ruled out for the remainder of the season, and the 76ers have been eliminated from playoff contention. However, after an injury-plagued 2024-25 campaign in which Embiid made only 19 appearances, the superstar big man appears to be on track for basketball activities this summer. Even if he's available to begin the 2025-26 campaign, Embiid would likely face heavy restrictions.

  • Yves Missi C | NO

Pelicans' Yves Missi: Remains out Friday

Missi (ankle) will not play Friday against the Heat.

Missi is set to miss his second consecutive game due to left ankle soreness. In his absence, Karlo Matkovic should see a heightened role Friday. Missi will have one more opportunity to play this season, as the Pelicans conclude their regular season Sunday against the Thunder.

  • Rockets' Alperen Sengun: Downgraded to out

Sengun (personal) has been ruled out for Friday's game against the Lakers.

Sengun has been downgraded from questionable to out and will miss a second straight game. It's unclear if he'll suit up for the regular-season finale against Denver on Sunday, as the Rockets already have the No. 2 seed in the Western Conference locked up. Jock Landale should see increased playing time in Sengun's absence.

  • Nets' Nic Claxton: Won't play against Minnesota

Claxton is out for Friday's game versus the Timberwolves due to rest purposes, Meghan Triplett of YES Network reports.

Claxton will sit out the second leg of Brooklyn's back-to-back Friday due to rest purposes. Drew Timme and Trendon Watford are candidates to receive increased playing time in Claxton's absence. Claxton's next chance to suit up is Sunday's regular-season finale against the Knicks.

  • Wizards' Richaun Holmes: Out for Friday

Holmes (shoulder) will not play Friday against the Bulls.

Holmes was initially doubtful, but he'll miss his sixth straight contest. Consider him doubtful for Sunday's game against the Heat.
