Nets' Day'Ron Sharpe: Posts three steals in win
Sharpe (shoulder) registered four points (1-1 FG, 1-1 3Pt, 1-4 FT), three assists, three steals, two rebounds and one block across 21 minutes in Monday's 131-122 preseason victory over Washington.
Sharpe returned to the starting lineup after missing Brooklyn's previous preseason contest with a shoulder injury. Although his scoring and rebounding production were limited, the center made an impact defensively with three steals and a block while also distributing three assists. His ability to handle a 21-minute workload is encouraging as the Nets prepare for the regular season.

Nets' Day'Ron Sharpe: Good to go Monday
Sharpe (shoulder) will play in Monday's preseason game against the Wizards, Brian Lewis of the New York Post reports.
Sharpe will return to action after sitting out Thursday's exhibition. With two more preseason contests, Sharpe continues to sit atop the center depth chart.

Nets' Day'Ron Sharpe: Won't suit up Thursday
Sharpe has been ruled out for Thursday's preseason matchup against Philadelphia due to left shoulder soreness, Brian Lewis of the New York Post reports.
The severity of Sharpe's shoulder issue remains unclear, though the team is likely being cautious for this exhibition. His absence could create additional frontcourt opportunities for Brooklyn's other big men during Thursday's contest.

Nets' Day'Ron Sharpe: Meaningful performance in start
Sharpe finished with eight points (4-9 FG, 0-2 3Pt), seven rebounds, three assists and two blocks in 18 minutes during Tuesday's 124-90 preseason win over the Hornets.
As expected, Sharpe got the starting nod in the preseason opener, a role he is likely to assume heading into the season proper. While his production was serviceable, at best, the fact that he was engaged on both ends of the floor bodes well for his projected fantasy value. While there are some doubts as to whether he plays 'typical' starter minutes, his opportunity should certainly lend itself to standard league relevance.

Nets' Day'Ron Sharpe: Preparing for larger workload
Sharpe intends to pace himself entering the 2026-27 season as he slots into a starting role, Brian Lewis of the New York Post reports.
Sharpe ended the 2025-26 campaign as the team's starting center, but he's entering his first full NBA season with the expectation of tackling a larger workload. The big man acknowledges that while he may need to pace himself over the course of a long season, he has no intention of letting his foot off the gas. "I feel like I played against starters last year as well. Sometimes, when I would come in the game, they would put the more physical guy in the game to deal with me. So just do my thing, just keep playing hard," said Sharpe. "And even if it's double the minutes, learn how to pace myself during the game, learning what opportunities to take [to avoid] getting in foul trouble, saving myself for later on in the game. But I'm just going to play hard until the wheels fall off. That's all I can do."

Nets' Day'Ron Sharpe: To re-sign with Brooklyn
Sharpe (thumb) will sign a two-year, $20 million deal with the Nets, Shams Charania of ESPN reports.
The Nets will quickly lock up their new starting center after previously trading away Nic Claxton. Sharpe is coming off a career-best season in 2025-26, posting regular-season averages of 8.7 points, 6.7 rebounds, 2.3 assists and 1.1 steals. He could offer a lot of appeal in fantasy formats depending on how the rest of the offseason shapes up.

Nets' Day'Ron Sharpe: Primed for top center role
Sharpe (thumb) is set to function as Brooklyn's starting center in 2026-27 following the trade of Nic Claxton (finger).
The Nets acquired Julius Randle in the exchange, but there's still a clear void at the center position now that Claxton is gone. Brooklyn still has time to reinforce its frontcourt depth via free agency, but for now it appears Sharpe's primary impediment to the top spot at center is Danny Wolf (ankle). Sharpe, a clear winner initially of Brooklyn's early offseason moves from a fantasy perspective, has made nine appearances as a starter since 2024-25, averaging 12.4 points, 9.6 rebounds, 3.9 assists, 1.6 steals and 1.1 blocks in 28.8 minutes per game during that period.

Nets' Day'Ron Sharpe: Slated for season-ending surgery
Sharpe has been diagnosed with an ulnar collateral ligament tear in his left thumb and will require season-ending surgery, Erik Slater of ClutchPoints.com reports.
This is a tough blow for Sharpe, who was in the process of putting together one of the best campaigns of his young NBA career. He averaged 8.7 points, 6.7 rebounds, 2.3 assists and 1.1 steals in 62 games. Both Danny Wolf and Josh Minott should be in the mix for backup center minutes with Sharpe sidelined.

Nets' Day'Ron Sharpe: Won't play Tuesday
Sharpe won't play in Tuesday's game against Detroit due to a left thumb sprain, per Brian Lewis of the New York Post.
Sharpe is sitting out for the first time since the Jan. 19 loss to the Suns. Danny Wolf and Ochai Agbaji should both see more playing time in the frontcourt in the absence of Sharpe on Tuesday.

Nets' Day'Ron Sharpe: Retreating to bench
Sharpe isn't in the starting lineup for Tuesday's game against the Heat, Sharif Phillips-Keaton of USA Today reports.
Sharpe drew a spot start at center Sunday with Nic Claxton (thumb) out of commission, but that'll change Tuesday with Claxton returning to play. Sharpe will return to a bench role and hasn't logged more than 19 minutes in his previous four appearances as a reserve, presumably limiting his upside in Miami.

Nets' Day'Ron Sharpe: Starting at center
Sharpe will start Sunday's game against the Cavaliers.
Sharpe is set to make his seventh start of the season due to Nic Claxton (thumb) being out. Sharpe remains a double-double threat even in limited action, evidenced by his 14-point, 11-rebound performance in just 19 minutes against the Spurs last Thursday. With Claxton sidelined, Sharpe should be even more productive.

Nets' Day'Ron Sharpe: Continues strong play off bench
Sharpe provided 14 points (6-10 FG, 0-1 3Pt, 2-2 FT), 11 rebounds, four assists, one block and one steal across 19 minutes during Thursday's 126-110 loss to the Spurs.
Sharpe needed only 19 minutes to compile a double-double against the Spurs in a losing effort. Sharpe's performances are on par with starting center Nic Claxton as of late. Over the last month, Sharpe has averaged 11.2 points and 8.2 rebounds per game compared to Claxton's 13.2 points and 6.4 boards, with Sharpe seeing seven fewer minutes per contest.

Nets' Day'Ron Sharpe: Headed to bench
Sharpe is not in the starting lineup for Sunday's matchup with the Hawks, C.J. Holmes of the New York Daily News reports.
Sharpe will head back to the second unit due to Nic Claxton (ankle) returning from a three-game absence, so Sharpe's value will take a hit. As a reserve this season, Sharpe owns averages of 8.1 points, 6.6 rebounds, 2.1 assists and 1.0 steals per game.

Nets' Day'Ron Sharpe: Plays well in starting lineup
Sharpe recorded 12 points (6-8 FG, 0-2 FT), eight rebounds, two assists, one block and two steals across 27 minutes during Friday's 105-86 loss to Oklahoma City.
Sharpe was in the starting lineup for the sixth time this season and looked like he belonged on Friday. The fifth-year big man finished with 12 points and eight boards in 27 minutes. He was one of only three Nets players in double figures. He also had a block and two steals. Furthermore, he's accumulated 10 steals in his past seven games.
