  • Al Horford C | GS

Celtics' Al Horford: Nears double-double in start

Horford posted nine points (3-10 FG, 3-9 3Pt), 10 rebounds, two assists, two steals and one block over 30 minutes in Wednesday's 117-97 loss to Detroit.

Horford got the starting nod Wednesday with Jaylen Brown out with a thigh injury, leading all Celtics in rebounds and finishing as one of four players with three or more threes and coming up one point short of a double-double. Horford has started in 30 games so far this season, tallying at least nine points and 10 rebounds on three occasions.

  • Knicks' Ariel Hukporti: Early exit Wednesday

Hukporti has been ruled out for the remainder of Wednesday's game against the 76ers due to a sprained left knee.

Hukporti limped off the court and got his knee wrapped earlier in the contest before returning to action. However, the injury proved to be too much to play through, and he'll watch the remainder of the contest from the sidelines. Hukporti logged eight points (4-5 FG), two rebounds and a block over 16 minutes before exiting. Expect Precious Achiuwa to see plenty of action the rest of the way. Hukporti's next chance to play will come Friday at Memphis.

  • Jazz's Kyle Filipowski: Slides back to bench

Filipowski won't start Wednesday's game against the Kings.

Filipowski drew a spot start Monday with the Jazz shorthanded in the frontcourt, but he'll return to the second unit Wednesday with Walker Kessler (illness) healthy. Still, expect Filipowski to see roughly 15 minutes off the bench as Kessler's backup.

  • Rudy Gobert C | MIN

Timberwolves' Rudy Gobert: Ruled out for Thursday

Gobert (back) has been ruled out for Thursday's game against the Lakers.

Gobert will miss a fifth straight game Thursday for Minnesota while managing a back issue. The Timberwolves will likely continue to lean on Naz Reid to pick up the slack in the frontcourt, with the French import set to miss another game.

  • Nets' Day'Ron Sharpe: Starting Wednesday

Sharpe is part of the Nets' starting lineup for Wednesday's game against Oklahoma City, C.J. Holmes of the New York Daily News reports.

Sharpe will step into Nic Claxton's (suspension) vacated spot in the starting lineup against the Thunder. It'll be Sharpe's first start of the campaign. In 35 appearances this season, Sharpe is averaging 8.2 points, 6.3 rebounds and 1.6 assists across 17.3 minutes.

  • Bam Adebayo PF | MIA

Heat's Bam Adebayo: Playing vs. Atlanta

Adebayo (calf) is available for Wednesday's game against the Hawks, Anthony Chiang of the Miami Herald reports.

Abedayo was initially listed as questionable due to a calf contusion, but the star big man will suit up for this contest and should handle his regular workload. The star big man has appeared in three consecutive contests since missing the club's final game before the All-Star break, during which he has averaged 19.0 points, 8.0 rebounds, 1.0 assists and 1.0 steals across 36.3 minutes per contest.

  • Zach Collins C | CHI

Bulls' Zach Collins: Available to face LAC

Collins (shin) will play in Wednesday's game against the Clippers.

Collins was initially listed as probable due to a right shin injury, and he'll be in uniform for Wednesday's contest. With Jalen Smith (concussion) and Nikola Vucevic (calf) sidelined, Collins should draw a second straight start.

  • Knicks' Ariel Hukporti: Starting vs. Philadelphia

Hukporti is in the starting lineup for Wednesday's game against the 76ers.

The Knicks will be without Karl-Anthony Towns (knee) and Mitchell Robinson (ankle), so Hukporti is the next man up at center and will get the nod here. This will be the first start of the rookie's career in The Association. He's averaging 1.7 points, 2.0 rebounds and 0.5 blocks across 8.4 minutes per game in 24 contests off the bench this season.

  • Al Horford C | GS

    Celtics' Al Horford: Starting Wednesday

Horford (toe) is in the starting lineup in Wednesday's game against Detroit.

Jaylen Brown is out with a thigh injury Wednesday, clearing a spot in the starting lineup for Horford with Torrey Craig now on the bench. The veteran big man has averaged 9.1 points, 5.9 rebounds, 2.2 assists, 0.9 blocks and 0.7 steals in 28.8 minutes in 29 games as a starter this season.

  • 76ers' Andre Drummond: Jumps into first unit

Drummond will start Wednesday's game against the Knicks.

Drummond has been splitting center minutes with Guerschon Yabusele while Joel Embiid (knee) mulls treatment options. Drummond will replace Yabusele in the first unit Wednesday, marking the veteran center's first start since Jan. 21. In 16 starts this season, he is averaging 8.1 points, 9.4 rebounds and 1.5 steals across 23.9 minutes this season for Philadelphia.
