  • Kings' Domantas Sabonis: Pulls down career-high 28 rebounds

Sabonis registered 23 points (10-15 FG, 3-4 3Pt), 28 rebounds, three assists and one block over 39 minutes during Friday's 114-97 victory over the Celtics.

Sabonis amassed the most rebounds of any player in a single game so far in 2024-25, dominating with a career-high 28 boards against one of the league's premier frontcourt duos of Jayson Tatum and Kristaps Porzingis. Over his last seven games, Sabonis is averaging 18.7 points, 16.9 rebounds, 6.9 assists, 0.9 blocks and 1.6 threes. The 28-year-old star big man now has 33 double-doubles in 35 games for the Kings this season, and Sabonis should continue to receive a bump in usage if De'Aaron Fox (glute) remains sidelined for Sunday's soft matchup with the Bulls, who rank 29th in the league in opponent points per game (120.8).

  • Spurs' Victor Wembanyama: Game against Lakers postponed

Wembanyama and the Spurs will not play against the Lakers on Saturday, as the game has been postponed due to the ongoing wildfires in the Los Angeles area, Shams Charania of ESPN reports.

Saturday's matchup between the Hornets and the Clippers in Los Angeles has also been postponed. Wembanyama and the Spurs have another meeting with the Lakers in Los Angeles on tap for Monday, but it remains uncertain at this time if that contest will be able to be held as scheduled.

  • Lakers' Anthony Davis: Game postponed Saturday

Davis and the Lakers will not play Saturday's game against the Spurs, as the game has been postponed due to the continuing wildfires in the Los Angeles area.

Davis was initially listed as probable for Saturday's game, but the NBA has decided to postpone the game, as well as the Clippers versus Hornets matchup, due to the dangerous situation in Los Angeles. The Lakers are set to play their upcoming five games at home, and it wouldn't be surprising if further games are postponed in the coming days. The Lakers' next scheduled game is a rematch against the Spurs on Monday.

  • Nuggets' DeAndre Jordan: Back to bench against Nets

Jordan isn't in the starting lineup for Friday's game against Brooklyn.

With Nikola Jokic (illness) back to man the middle, Jordan will revert to his usual role as a reserve for the Nuggets on Friday. The veteran big man is averaging 5.8 rebounds, 4.8 points, 1.2 assists and 0.6 steals in 14.4 minutes while shooting 62.5 percent from the field across his past five outings.

  • Nikola Jokic C | DEN

Nuggets' Nikola Jokic: Will play against Brooklyn

Jokie (illness) has been cleared to play Friday against the Nets, Vinny Benedetto of The Denver Gazette reports.

Jokic missed the last two games due to illness but will return Saturday to face Brooklyn. The three-time NBA MVP is vital to Denver's success and will be a welcome addition to the lineup for head coach Mike Malone. He's averaging nearly a triple-double this season, with a career-high 31.5 points per game, along with 13.0 rebounds and 9.7 assists.

  • Lakers' Anthony Davis: Probable to play Saturday

Davis (foot) is listed as probable for Saturday's game against the Spurs, Dan Woike of the Los Angeles Times reports.

Davis continues to be on the Lakers' injury report due to left plantar fasciitis, but he has managed to play through the issue. Thursday's game against the Hornets was postponed due to the ongoing wildfires in the Los Angeles area, and that will be something to monitor during the Lakers' homestand.

  • Trail Blazers' Deandre Ayton: Working through calf soreness

Ayton (calf) is listed as questionable for Saturday's game against the Heat.

Ayton played just 21 minutes during the Trail Blazers' 117-111 loss to the Mavericks on Sunday, which could partially have been due to a left calf issue. Donovan Clingan and Robert Williams (rest) would be in line for more minutes Saturday if Ayton is unable to play.

  • John Collins PF | LAC

Jazz's John Collins: Ruled out against Phoenix

Collins (hip) has been ruled out for Saturday's game against the Suns.

Collins will miss a fourth straight game Saturday while dealing with a left hip injury. The veteran big man is having a solid season with the Jazz, posting his highest points-per-game average (17.9) since the 2019-20 campaign (21.5) with the Atlanta Hawks.

  • Wizards' Jonas Valanciunas: Shifts back to bench

Valanciunas will come off the bench Friday against the Bulls.

After starting against the 76ers on Wednesday in place of rookie Alexandre Sarr (illness), Valanciunas will come off the bench Friday against Chicago. The veteran big man had a rough outing as a starter, committing eight turnovers in the loss to Philadelphia. He's averaging 11.9 points, 8.1 rebounds and 2.3 assists per game while shooting 55.3 percent from the floor and 20 percent from beyond the arc this season.

  • Al Horford C | GS

Celtics' Al Horford: Coming off bench Friday

Horford is not in the Celtics' starting lineup against the Kings on Friday, Justin Turpin of WEEI.com reports.

Horford started against the Nuggets on Tuesday due to Derrick White being ruled out with an illness. With White back for Friday's inter-conference clash, Horford will revert to a reserve role and be the first big man off the bench behind Kristaps Porzingis. Over his last 10 outings, Horford has averaged 7.7 points, 5.8 rebounds and 2.0 assists over 28.1 minutes per game.
