  • Mavericks' Brandon Williams: Won't play vs. Spurs

Williams (lower leg) is out for Thursday's game against San Antonio, Noah Weber of TheSmokingCuban.com reports.

Williams is in line for a second consecutive absence due to a lower leg bruise. Klay Thompson and Miles Kelly will presumably be asked to step up in Williams' place Thursday night.

  • Kings' Dylan Cardwell: Gets upgraded from two-way deal

Cardwell agreed Thursday with the Kings on a four-year contract, Shams Charania of ESPN reports.

As expected, the Kings ended up upgrading Cardwell from his two-way deal after the undrafted rookie out of Auburn had played his way into a regular spot in the NBA rotation. According to Charania, the first two seasons of Cardwell's deal will be fully guaranteed. While appearing in each of Sacramento's last 16 games, Cardwell has averaged 5.2 points, 8.2 rebounds, 1.6 blocks, 1.2 assists and 0.5 steals in 21.3 minutes per contest.

  • Isaiah Stewart PF | DET

Pistons' Isaiah Stewart: Joins starters Thursday

Stewart is starting Thursday's game against the Wizards.

Stewart will step into the starting five with Tobias Harris (hip) out of commission. Stewart impressed in his last start Jan. 7 against Chicago, ending the night with 31 points, three rebounds, one assist, one steal and two blocks in 30 minutes.

  • Wizards' Justin Champagnie: Starting Thursday

Champagnie will start Thursday versus the Pistons.

With Khris Middleton getting shipped off to Dallas, Champagnie could emerge as a trade deadline winner if he's able to secure his spot in the Wizards' starting lineup. Over 11 starts this season, Champagnie has recorded averages of 8.7 points, 5.8 rebounds, 1.0 assists and 0.9 triples per contest on 51/35/80 shooting splits.

  • Tobias Harris PF | DET

Pistons' Tobias Harris: Won't play Thursday

Harris is out for Thursday's game against the Wizards due to a sore left hip.

Thursday's matchup is the first half of a back-to-back set, so the Pistons are giving the 33-year-old forward a chance to catch a breather. The expectation is that Harris will be available for Friday's showdown with the Knicks. In his stead versus Washington, Isaiah Stewart is drawing the spot start at power forward and makes for a strong streaming option.

  • Pistons' Cade Cunningham: Good to go Thursday

Cunningham (wrist) is available Thursday against the Wizards.

Cunningham was initially added to the team's injury report as questionable due to right wrist injury management, but he's since been given the green light to suit up. He's fresh off a strong 29-point night against the Nuggets in which he also recorded a double-double by dishing out 10 assists.

  • Jusuf Nurkic C | UTA

Jazz's Jusuf Nurkic: Won't start Thursday

Jazz head coach Will Hardy said that Nurkic won't start Thursday's game against the Hawks, Andy Larsen of The Salt Lake Tribune reports.

Though Nurkic will technically be available Thursday, his presence on the bench likely indicates that the Jazz plan to stay away from using him. The Jazz took that approach in their most recent game Tuesday against the Pacers; Nurkic was initially ruled out in advance of the game for rest purposes, then was upgraded to available before he ultimately went unused off the bench. Kyle Filipowski started at center in that game and played 36 minutes, and he'll likely be in line for another hefty workload Thursday while the Jazz are short on available bodies in the aftermath of the trade deadline.

  • Timberwolves' Terrence Shannon: Listed as out for Friday

Shannon (foot) is out for Friday's game against the Pelicans.

Shannon remains without a clear timeline for a return due to a left foot strain. His next chance to take the court will come Sunday against the Clippers.

  • Collin Sexton SG | CHI

    Bulls' Collin Sexton: Out Thursday

Sexton (recently traded) won't play Thursday against Toronto.

Sexton was traded from the Hornets to the Bulls on Wednesday and isn't quite ready to make his Chicago debut. New acquisitions Jaden Ivey and Anfernee Simons are available Thursday and should provide some needed support in the backcourt. Sexton's next opportunity to suit up will arrive Saturday against the Nuggets.

  • Micah Potter PF | IND

Pacers' Micah Potter: Questionable with hip contusion

Potter (hip) is questionable for Friday's game against the Bucks.

Potter is at risk of sitting out consecutive contests due to a bruised left hip. With Isaiah Jackson on his way to the Clippers and Ivica Zubac uncertain to make his Pacers debut Friday, Indiana could be left with Jay Huff to take on as many minutes as he can handle if Potter can't suit up.
