  • Kings' Domantas Sabonis: Won't play Sunday

Sabonis (back) is out for Sunday's game against the Wizards.

Sabonis will miss a second straight game after being a late addition to the injury report due to a nagging back injury. Maxime Raynaud and Dylan Cardwell are candidates for increasing roles with Sabonis sidelined.

  • Alex Sarr C | WAS

Wizards' Alex Sarr: Ruled out Sunday

Sarr (calf) has been ruled out for Sunday's game against the Kings.

Sarr will miss his first game since Dec. 21 due to right calf soreness. Over the past 15 contests, the 20-year-old is averaging 17.6 points, 7.0 rebounds, 2.6 assists and 1.8 blocks while shooting 49.3 percent from the field and 30.8 percent from three. His absence opens the door for Marvin Bagley (back) to enter the starting lineup in his first game back from a five-game absence. Sarr's next chance to suit up will come Tuesday against the Knicks.

  • Heat's Davion Mitchell: Available Sunday

Mitchell (shoulder) is available for Sunday's game against the Bulls.

As expected, Mitchell will shed his probable tag and return from a six-game absence due to a left shoulder sprain. With the 27-year-old point guard back in action, there will be fewer minutes available for guys like Kasparas Jakucionis and Dru Smith. In nine January appearances, Mitchell averaged 7.9 points, 6.6 assists, 2.8 rebounds and 1.1 steals across 26.2 minutes per game.

  • Kings' Domantas Sabonis: Late addition to injury report

Sabonis (back) is listed as questionable for Sunday's game against the Wizards.

Sabonis was an extremely late addition to the injury report due to lower-back soreness, which isn't a positive sign for his availability. If the veteran center isn't cleared to play, Maxime Raynaud and Dylan Cardwell would be candidates for increased playing time.

  • Cavaliers' Dennis Schroder: Won't make team debut Sunday

Schroder (recently traded) is expected to meet the Cavaliers in Los Angeles for Wednesday's game against the Clippers, Chris Fedor of The Cleveland Plain Dealer reports.

Schroder, who was traded from the Kings to the Cavaliers on Saturday, is expected to join the team at the next stop of its road trip, putting him on track to make his franchise debut Wednesday against the Clippers. In 40 games (14 starts) with Sacramento this season, the veteran guard averaged 12.8 points, 5.3 assists and 3.0 rebounds while shooting 40.8 percent from the field and 34.3 percent from three. Schroder projects as a long-term reserve for Cleveland but could receive short-term starting consideration until Darius Garland (toe) returns.

  • Keon Ellis SG | CLE

Cavaliers' Keon Ellis: Could make team debut Wednesday

Ellis (recently traded) is expected to meet the Cavaliers in Los Angeles for Wednesday's game against the Clippers, Chris Fedor of The Cleveland Plain Dealer reports.

Along with Dennis Schroder, Ellis was traded to Cleveland from Sacramento on Saturday in a three-team deal involving the Bulls. The guards are expected to join the Cavaliers on Wednesday. Over 43 regular-season appearances (five starts) with the Kings this season, Ellis averaged 5.6 points, 1.3 rebounds and 1.1 steals across 17.6 minutes per contest.

  • Kevin Love PF | UTA

Jazz's Kevin Love: Cleared to play Sunday

Love (illness) is available for Sunday's game against the Raptors.

Love missed the Jazz's previous two games due to an illness but is set to return Sunday. With Jusuf Nurkic (illness) also available, Love is likely to come off the bench, where he's averaging 7.3 points, 5.2 rebounds and 1.7 assists in 16.1 minutes across 21 reserve appearances this season.

  • Jusuf Nurkic C | UTA

Jazz's Jusuf Nurkic: Good to go Sunday

Nurkic (illness) is available for Sunday's game against the Raptors.

Nurkic sat out Friday's loss to Brooklyn due to the illness, though he'll return to action Sunday. In eight January appearances, the veteran big man averaged 16.0 points, 12.1 rebounds, 7.3 assists and 1.5 steals in 30.0 minutes per contest. With Nurkic back in the lineup, Kyle Filipowski is expected to slide to the second unit.

  • Nikola Jovic PF | MIA

Heat's Nikola Jovic: Officially ruled out Sunday

Jovic (hip) has been ruled out for Sunday's game against the Bulls, Ira Winderman of the South Florida Sun Sentinel reports.

Jovic will be sidelined while dealing with a right hip impingement. In his absence, Simone Fontecchio and Kel'el Ware could see a bump in minutes off the bench, while Jaime Jaquez is likely to continue handling a sizable reserve role. Jovic's next chance to suit up will come Tuesday against the Hawks.

  • Kings' De'Andre Hunter: Won't play Sunday

Hunter has yet to join the Kings and won't play in Sunday's game against the Wizards, Jason Anderson of The Sacramento Bee reports.

Hunter was traded from Cleveland to Sacramento on Saturday in a three-team deal involving the Bulls, and he will have to wait to make his Kings debut. Head coach Doug Christie said Sunday that the plan is for Hunter to practice with the team Tuesday and play against the Grizzlies on Wednesday, per Chris Biderman of The Sacramento Bee. Over 43 regular-season appearances with Cleveland in 2025-26, Hunter averaged 13.9 points, 4.3 rebounds, 2.1 assists and 1.7 three-pointers in 26.2 minutes per contest.
