  • RJ Barrett SG | TOR

Raptors' RJ Barrett: Still has minutes restriction

Barrett had 14 points (3-13 FG, 1-4 3Pt, 7-8 FT), eight rebounds and three assists over 24 minutes during Wednesday's 119-92 loss to the Knicks.

Barrett remained on a minutes restriction Wednesday, per Esfandiar Baraheni of The Athletic, and he continued to show signs of rust as he works his way back from a recent lengthy absence with a left ankle sprain. The star forward has averaged 12.7 points, 6.7 rebounds and 2.7 assists in 22.3 minutes per contest in his last three games since getting back onto the floor, shooting just 38.2 percent from the field.

  • Magic's Tristan da Silva: Continues handling bench role

Da Silva finished with 12 points (5-9 FG, 2-5 3Pt), two rebounds, four assists and three steals in 21 minutes during Wednesday's 133-124 victory over Miami.

Despite the absence of Franz Wagner (ankle), da Silva remains stuck in a reserve role. Da Silva has come off the bench in six of his last seven contests, during which the forward has averaged a modest 6.9 points, 2.0 rebounds, 1.4 steals and 1.3 assists in 18.2 minutes per game.

  • Trail Blazers' Scoot Henderson: Cleared for contact

Henderson (hamstring) has been cleared to participate in contact drills at practice, Sean Highkin of Rip City Radio 620 Portland reports.

It's a significant step forward for Henderson, who is entering the final stages of his rehab from a torn left hamstring that's prevented him from making his season debut. The third-year guard is likely to require a ramp-up period before being cleared for game action. Henderson is also slated for heavy restrictions once he's deemed ready to take the court for Portland.

  • Caris LeVert SG | DET

Pistons' Caris LeVert: Sitting out with illness

LeVert (illness) is out for Thursday's game against the Suns.

LeVert faces a quick turnaround if he wants to suit up in time for Friday's tilt against the Warriors. With the veteran swingman sitting out the first leg of Detroit's back-to-back set, the likes of Jaden Ivey, Ronald Holland and Javonte Green should each have a longer runway off the bench Thursday.

  • Norman Powell SG | MIA

Heat's Norman Powell: Expected to play Thursday

Powell is probable for Thursday's game against the Bulls with lower-back tightness.

The star guard is expected to play the second part of the Heat's back-to-back set Thursday. Over his last nine outings, Powell has averaged 20.4 points, 3.8 rebounds, 2.6 assists and 2.2 three-pointers in 30.4 minutes per game.

  • Heat's Davion Mitchell: Ruled out Thursday

Mitchell (shoulder) will not play Thursday against the Bulls.

Mitchell will be sidelined for a fifth straight game, and there's been no indication that he's close to a return. Dru Smith, Kasparas Jakucionis and Pelle Larsson will likely see an uptick in minutes in the meantime.

  • Kel'el Ware C | MIA

Heat's Kel'el Ware: Likely to play Thursday

Ware is probable for Thursday's game against the Bulls with a right hamstring strain.

The second-year big man is likely to play the second half of Miami's back-to-back set. Ware logged seven minutes during his return to action from a four-game absence against Orlando on Wednesday. Over his past seven outings, Ware is trending down, averaging 7.0 points, 4.4 rebounds and 0.4 assists in 14.2 minutes per game while shooting 46.8 percent from the floor.

  • Grizzlies' GG Jackson: Scores 12 off the bench

Jackson closed with 12 points (5-8 FG, 1-2 3Pt, 1-2 FT), four rebounds, one assist, two blocks and one steal over 24 minutes during Wednesday's 112-97 loss to the Hornets.

Jackson led the Grizzlies' bench in scoring for a third game in a row. He's building momentum as the team will be without leading scorer Ja Morant for the near future. He's averaging 10.8 points per game across January, several points higher than his season average (7.6).

  • Tyler Herro PG | MIA

Heat's Tyler Herro: Another absence coming

Herro (ribs) remains out for Thursday's game against the Bulls.

Herro will be sidelined for an eighth straight game and currently doesn't have a timetable to return. He can be considered doubtful at best for Saturday's rematch against the Bulls.

  • Sam Hauser SF | BOS

Celtics' Sam Hauser: Continues strong stretch of play

Hauser totaled 12 points (5-9 FG, 2-6 3Pt), seven rebounds, one assist and one block over 25 minutes during Wednesday's 117-106 loss to the Hawks.

Hauser continues to occupy a significant role for the Celtics, making him worth rostering in most fantasy leagues as long as he stays hot from long distance. Over his last eight contests, the sharpshooter has averaged 16.3 points, 5.3 rebounds, 2.5 assists and 4.3 three-pointers in 29.1 minutes per game.
