  • Jaden Ivey SG | CHI

Bulls' Jaden Ivey: Cleared to practice in G League

The Bulls assigned Ivey (knee) to the G League's Windy City Bulls on Friday and immediately recalled him after he took part in practice with the affilliate.

Ivey's ability to practice in the G League signals that he could be nearing a return to action after the Bulls opted to shut him down shortly after the All-Star break due to left patellofemoral pain syndrome. Prior to missing time, Ivey had appeared in just four games for the Bulls following his acquisition from the Pistons at the trade deadline, averaging 11.5 points, 4.8 rebounds, 4.0 assists, 2.0 three-pointers and 2.0 steals in 29.0 minutes per contest. Both Ivey himself and head coach Billy Donovan had acknowledged that the 24-year-old guard had lacked the explosiveness he had displayed during his first three seasons in the league before fracturing his leg in January 2025, but Donovan expressed confidence Friday that Ivey would eventually return to form after a "period of time," per Joe Cowley of the Chicago Sun-Times. Ivey is slated to work out with the Bulls on Sunday, but he'll most likely remain out for their next game Monday versus the Grizzlies.

  • Warriors' Kristaps Porzingis: Hits for 20 in Friday's start

Porzingis notched 20 points (7-16 FG, 2-5 3Pt, 4-4 FT), four rebounds, two assists, one block and two steals over 22 minutes during Friday's 127-117 loss to the Timberwolves.

In his fourth game with the Warriors, Porzingis made his first start and reached 20 points for the first time. In a curious reversal of fortune, the 30-year-old center might be the healthiest member of his team's frontcourt right now -- Draymond Green (back) didn't play Friday, and both Al Horford (calf) and Quinten Post (ankle) left the contest early. Expect Porzingis to get as many minutes as he can handle until the roster gets some reinforcements.

  • T.J. McConnell PG | IND

Pacers' T.J. McConnell: Dishes six dimes in return

McConnell finished Friday's 101-92 loss to the Knicks with 10 points (5-9 FG), six assists and three rebounds over 20 minutes.

The Pacers offense struggled during Friday's contest, though McConnell gave his team a spark off the bench, finishing as Indiana's fourth-leading scorer and second in assists behind Andrew Nembhard (seven). It was encouraging to see McConnell log 20 minutes off the bench after the veteran point guard missed the Pacers' last two games due to a right hamstring injury. It's an injury that he's managed since early February and could limit his playing time, especially in back-to-back sets.

  • Warriors' Brandin Podziemski: Big double-double in Friday's loss

Podziemski closed Friday's 127-117 loss to the Timberwolves with 25 points (8-17 FG, 5-10 3Pt, 4-5 FT), 10 rebounds and two assists in 36 minutes.

The third-year guard led the shorthanded Warriors in scoring, and the roster only got thinner as the night progressed with Al Horford (calf), Quinten Post (ankle) and Seth Curry (thigh) all heading to the locker room early. Podziemski has scored more than 20 points in three of the last six games, averaging 18.8 points, 7.0 boards, 3.8 assists, 3.3 threes and 1.0 steals in 35.7 minutes over that stretch, and it doesn't look like his workload or usage are going to be scaled back any time soon.

  • Taj Gibson PF | MEM

Grizzlies' Taj Gibson: Plays 12 minutes in Memphis debut

Gibson tallied three points (1-5 FG, 1-2 3Pt) and three rebounds over 12 minutes during the Grizzlies' 126-110 loss to the Pistons on Friday.

Gibson was cleared to make his Grizzlies debut Friday after signing with the team in late February. The veteran center demonstrated extended range in his debut with a lone three-pointer, his first in a regular season game since Nov. 4, 2024 as a member of the Hornets. Zach Edey (ankle), Brandon Clarke (calf) and Santi Aldama (knee) are all sidelined by injuries, so Gibson will have the opportunity for an extended playing time off the bench behind Olivier-Maxence Prosper and Taylor Hendricks.

  • Yang Hansen C | POR

Trail Blazers' Yang Hansen: Plays in garbage time Friday

Hansen played the final 48.9 seconds of Friday's 124-114 win over the Jazz, finishing with no statistics during his time on the court.

Recalled from the G League's Rip City Remix prior to Friday's contest, Hansen was unable to crack the Portland rotation while the game was competitive. Even though the Trail Blazers were without their top backup center in Robert Williams (knee) on Friday, interim head coach Tiago Splitter opted to run out small-ball lineups when starting center Donovan Clingan was off the court. Hansen looks like he'll continue to receive limited run at the NBA level for the rest of the season while he's yet to gain full trust of the coaching staff.

  • Ayo Dosunmu PG | MIN

Timberwolves' Ayo Dosunmu: Productive off bench Friday

Dosunmu posted 12 points (5-9 FG, 2-4 3Pt), eight rebounds and seven assists across 31 minutes off the bench during Friday's 127-117 victory over Golden State.

After missing Wednesday's game against the Clippers due to a sore thumb, Dosunmu was back on the second unit and delivered his most productive performance since coming over from the Bulls. Through 13 games with Minnesota, the fifth-year guard is averaging 11.1 points, 3.5 assists, 2.9 boards, 1.7 threes and 0.8 steals in 26.2 minutes a contest while shooting 51.5 percent from the floor and 43.5 percent from long distance.

  • Rudy Gobert C | MIN

Timberwolves' Rudy Gobert: Just misses double-double in win

Gobert posted 18 points (5-5 FG, 8-10 FT), nine rebounds, two assists, one block and one steal across 36 minutes during Friday's 127-117 victory over the Warriors.

The veteran center came up one board short of his 28th double-double of the season. Gobert isn't seeing much of the ball this month -- he's scored in double digits only three times in seven March games so far, averaging 10.3 points, 10.4 rebounds, 2.6 assists, 1.0 steals and 0.9 blocks despite shooting 73.5 percent from the floor.

  • Timberwolves' Anthony Edwards: Erupts for game-high 42 on Friday

Edwards finished Friday's 127-117 victory over the Warriors with 42 points (13-22 FG, 4-9 3Pt, 12-12 FT), eight rebounds, five assists, one block and one steal in 37 minutes.

Despite a minor knee issue that landed him on the injury report coming into the game, Edwards was at his best as he scored 40-plus points for the third time in 11 games since the All-Star break. Over that stretch, the superstar guard is averaging 31.2 points, 4.5 boards, 3.9 threes, 3.6 assists, 1.6 steals and 0.8 blocks while shooting 50.0 percent from the floor and 40.6 percent from beyond the arc.

  • Nets' Michael Porter: Officially ruled out

Porter (ankle) has been ruled out for Saturday's game against the 76ers.

As expected, Porter has been downgraded from doubtful to out and will miss a second straight game. With Nic Claxton (rest) and Drake Powell (knee) also out, Terance Mann, Ziaire Williams, Danny Wolf and Josh Minott are all candidates for increased roles Saturday. Porter's next chance to suit up will come Monday against Portland.
