Deandre Ayton C | WAS
Wizards' Deandre Ayton: Traded to Washington
The Lakers are trading Ayton to the Wizards in exchange for Jaden Hardy and two second-round picks, Shams Charania of ESPN reports.
Ayton's departure was imminent following the addition of Walker Kessler. In Washington, Ayton figures to be the primary backup to Alex Sarr, filling the void left by the departure of Marvin Bagley. Ayton doesn't seem like an appealing fantasy option on his new team, as he needs a lot of volume and minutes to be worthwhile in standard formats.

Caleb Love PG | PHI
76ers' Caleb Love: To join 76ers
Love agreed to a two-way contract with the 76ers on Friday, Shams Charania of ESPN reports.
Love was on a two-way contract with Portland in 2025-26. He made 49 regular-season appearances, posting averages of 10.4 points, 2.5 assists and 2.3 rebounds in 20.7 minutes per contest. He'll likely spend a lot of time with Philadelphia's G League affiliate during the 2026-27 campaign.

Dorian Finney-Smith PF | ATL
Hornets' Dorian Finney-Smith: Traded to Charlotte
The Rockets are trading Finney-Smith to the Hornets along with three second-round picks, Shams Charania of ESPN reports.
This is a pure salary dump by the Rockets. Finney-Smith is coming off a down season, but he has a strong track record of being a plus defender and floor spacer. Presumably, the Hornets will be eyeing him as a potential rotation player off the bench.

Javonte Green SF | DET
Pistons' Javonte Green: Returning to Detroit
Green and the Pistons agreed to a one-year, $3.6 million deal Friday, Shams Charania of ESPN reports.
Green played all 82 regular-season games for the Pistons in 2025-26, averaging 6.9 points and 2.8 rebounds in 17.6 minutes while shooting 38.1 percent from beyond the arc. He'll again provide the Pistons with some quality depth on the wings.

Neemias Queta C | BOS
Celtics' Neemias Queta: Agrees to 4-year extension
Queta and the Celtics agreed to a four-year, $56 million extension Friday, Shams Charania of ESPN reports.
The Celtics recently picked up Queta's team option for 2026-27, but the team quickly moved to lock him up for another four years through 2030-31. Queta averaged 10.2 points, 8.4 rebounds, 1.7 assists, 1.3 blocks and 0.8 steals in 25.3 minutes per game across 76 regular-season outings (75 starts) last season, but he does have some extra competition for next season with the Celtics adding Mitchell Robinson up front.

Alex Karaban SF | SAC
Kings' Alex Karaban: Rolls ankle in practice
Karaban left Thursday's practice after suffering an ankle injury, Brenden Nunes of KHTK Sactown Sports 1140 reports.
Karaban appeared to roll his ankle near the end of Thursday's practice, per Nunes, and he was unable to return. He can be considered day-to-day leading up to Sacramento's first Summer League game against Brooklyn on Saturday.

Ugonna Onyenso C | DET
Pistons' Ugonna Onyenso: Inks two-way deal
Onyenso agreed to a two-way contract with the Pistons on Thursday.
The No. 53 overall pick in the 2026 NBA Draft, Onyenso appears poised to see run in the G League after putting pen to paper on a two-way deal. He'll likely face an uphill battle to carve out a role in the rotation, so Detroit will presumably allow him to continue his development with Motor City.

Tari Eason PF | HOU
Rockets' Tari Eason: Staying with Rockets
Eason agreed Thursday to a five-year, $81.5 million deal (fully guaranteed) to remain in Houston, Shams Charania of ESPN reports.
Eason was selected by the Rockets with the No. 17 overall pick in the 2022 NBA Draft. Since then, the 25-year-old has appeared in 221 regular-season games for Houston, averaging 10.4 points, 6.3 rebounds, 1.3 assists, 0.7 blocks and 1.3 steals over 23.6 minutes. Eason was on the radar of a few teams around the NBA, especially the Lakers. However, he will remain in Houston, where he will likely see most of his minutes off the bench. Eason isn't the most consistent scorer, and injuries have also been an issue. Still, he has value due to his defensive prowess and ability on the glass, which should come in handy for a Rockets team looking to win a championship.

He averaged 10.8 points, 3.0 rebounds, 1.3 assists and 1.9 made threes in 26.4 minutes over 32 regular-season appearances a year ago with the Kings.
