However, he'll have the opportunity to serve in an expanded role Friday as he starts for the first time since Jan. 10 against the Bulls, when he played 29 minutes and finished with 16 points, six assists, three rebounds and three three-pointers.

    With GG Jackson (foot) sidelined, Hendricks will join the first unit. As a starter for the Grizzlies this season (three games), the 22-year-old forward has averaged 7.0 points, 5.3 rebounds and 1.3 assists in 24.7 minutes per tilt.

    Green will start Friday's game against Memphis.

    With Tobias Harris (hip) unavailable for the second leg of this back-to-back set, Green will enter the starting five for the first time since Jan. 10. As a starter this season (four games), the veteran forward has averaged 12.0 points, 7.8 rebounds, 3.3 combined steals-plus-blocks and 1.5 assists in 35.0 minutes per contest.

    Harris (hip) has been ruled out for Friday's game against the Grizzlies.

    Harris will be held out of the second leg of this back-to-back set due to left hip soreness. The veteran forward's next opportunity to play will come Sunday in Toronto. With Harris out, Javonte Green, Isaiah Stewart and Ronald Holland are candidates for increased playing time.

    LeVert (wrist) is available to play Friday against the Grizzlies, Hunter Patterson of The Athletic reports.

    LeVert is back following a three-game stint on the sidelines, and his return could result in fewer minutes for Javonte Green and Kevin Huerter. LeVert is averaging 7.2 points and 2.6 assists per game this season.

    Pistons' Ausar Thompson: Won't play Friday

    Thompson (ankle) has been ruled out for Friday's game against Memphis.

    Thompson will miss a fifth consecutive contest due to a sprained right ankle, and his next opportunity to suit up will come Sunday in Toronto. With the 23-year-old forward sidelined, Ronald Holland, Marcus Sasser and Kevin Huerter are candidates to see increased minutes.
