Suns' Jordan Goodwin: MRI scheduled for Sunday

Goodwin suffered a calf injury in Saturday's 113-110 double-overtime win over the Magic and is scheduled to have an MRI on Sunday, Amanda Pflugrad of 3TV Phoenix reports.

Goodwin ran down the tunnel late in the fourth quarter and did not return, finishing with 17 points (6-10 FG, 3-4 3Pt, 2-2 FT), six rebounds, two steals and one assist across 25 minutes. He should be considered highly questionable for Sunday's game against Portland. If the 27-year-old guard joins Devin Booker (hip) on the sidelines, Ryan Dunn, Isaiah Livers and Jamaree Bouyea would be candidates for increased playing time.

  • Desmond Bane SG | ORL

    Magic's Desmond Bane: Scores game-high 34 points

Bane posted 34 points (12-18 FG, 5-9 3Pt, 5-5 FT), four rebounds, three assists, two steals and a block across 40 minutes in Saturday's 113-110 triple-overtime loss to the Suns.

Bane did everything in his power to carry the Magic to a victory, but a last-second game-winning three from Jalen Green prevented him from doing so. Bane has now scored 30-plus points in two of his last three games while putting up at least 22 in five of his last six contests, so he's doing an excellent job operating as the Magic's No. 2 option on offense behind Paolo Banchero, and even taking over when the game calls for it.

Suns' Jordan Goodwin: Does not return Saturday

Goodwin exited Saturday's 113-110 double-overtime win over the Magic in the fourth quarter due to an apparent left leg injury and did not return. He finished with 17 points (6-10 FG, 3-4 3Pt, 2-2 FT), six rebounds, two steals and one assist across 25 minutes.

Goodwin appeared to tweak his left leg before running down the tunnel and into the locker room. He faces a short turnaround if he hopes to suit up in Sunday's game against Portland. If the 27-year-old guard joins Devin Booker (hip) on the sidelines, Ryan Dunn, Isaiah Livers and Jamaree Bouyea would be candidates for increased playing time.

  • Kawhi Leonard SF | LAC

Clippers' Kawhi Leonard: Questionable to play Sunday

Leonard (ankle) is questionable for Sunday's game against the Magic.

Leonard exited Friday's game against the Lakers due to left ankle soreness, and the same issue has him questionable for this contest. The Clippers will be cautious with him, but a final call on the star forward's status will be made closer to Sunday's 9 p.m. ET tipoff. Leonard is averaging 28.4 points, 7.1 rebounds, 4.3 assists and 1.7 steals per game since the beginning of February.

  • John Collins PF | LAC

Clippers' John Collins: Out Sunday with sore neck

Collins has been ruled out for Sunday's game against the Magic due to a head laceration and neck soreness.

Though Collins will have to miss at least one game after exiting Friday's 125-122 loss to the Clippers in the second quarter, he at least appears to have avoided a concussion after taking a hard fall to the court. After the game, head coach Tyronn Lue told Mark Medina of TheSportingTribune.com that Collins needed some stitches to seal a wound near his left eye, and the big man also apparently suffered a sore neck. With Collins sidelined for Sunday's contest, supporting players like Nicolas Batum and Jordan Miller could have higher minutes floors, and rookie Kobe Sanders could resurface in Lue's nine-man rotation.

  • Grizzlies' GG Jackson: Moving to bench Saturday

Jackson is not in the starting lineup for Saturday's game against the Heat.

Jackson will move to the bench since Walter Clayton, who's returning from a three-game absence due to a calf problem, will return to the first unit. Jackson has played off the bench in all but nine of his appearances this season, averaging 8.2 points, 3.0 rebounds and 1.1 assists per game in those contests.

  • Paul Reed C | DET

Pistons' Paul Reed: Won't start Saturday

Reed won't start against the Bulls on Saturday.

With Jalen Duren (suspension) back in the lineup, Reed will retreat to the second unit. The big man has averaged 8.8 points and 4.5 rebounds across 16.5 minutes per game in four appearances off the bench this month.

  • Grizzlies' Walter Clayton: Moving to starting role

Clayton is in the starting lineup for Saturday's game against the Heat.

Clayton is returning from a three-game absence following a right calf contusion, and he'll move to the starting lineup right away. He's averaging 9.5 points, 5.5 assists, 3.5 rebounds and 2.0 steals in 25.0 minutes per game in his two outings with Memphis since being traded from the Jazz before the deadline.

  • Bulls' Guerschon Yabusele: Starting Saturday

Yabusele will start Saturday's game against the Pistons.

The big man will get the starting nod in place of Anfernee Simons on Saturday. As a starter for the Bulls (three outings), Yabusele has averaged 9.3 points and 2.0 rebounds in 24.3 minutes per tilt.

  • Bulls' Anfernee Simons: Not starting Saturday

Simons is not in the starting lineup for Saturday's game against the Pistons.

Simons will head to the bench since the Bulls will be tweaking their first unit, and Guerschon Yabusele will move to the first unit as a result of this change. Simons is averaging 17.4 points, 3.0 rebounds and 3.6 assists per game in his first five games with Chicago since being traded from Boston before the deadline. This will be the first time he comes off the bench as a Bulls player.
