  • Franz Wagner PF | ORL

Magic's Franz Wagner: Another absence coming

Wagner (ankle) is out for Saturday's game against the Jazz.

Wagner will be sidelined for a ninth straight game and remains without a timetable for a return. His next chance to play comes Monday against the Bucks.

  • Blake Wesley SG | POR

Trail Blazers' Blake Wesley: Added to injury report

Wesley is questionable for Friday's game against the Grizzlies due to right foot injury management.

With a rematch with Memphis on tap for Saturday, Portland is considering giving Wesley a maintenance day following his recent multi-month absence. Scoot Henderson (hamstring) is set to make his season debut Friday, and Vit Krejci could be pushed into a more prominent role if Wesley is unavailable.

  • Kings' Domantas Sabonis: Ruled out Friday

Sabonis is out for Friday's game against the Clippers with lower-back soreness.

Friday is the front end of a back-to-back, so it's plausible that the star big man will be able to play Saturday against the Cavaliers. Maxime Raynaud figures to jump into the starting lineup in Sabonis' stead, setting him up to split the center minutes with fellow rookie Dylan Cardwell.

  • Ousmane Dieng SF | MIL

Bucks' Ousmane Dieng: Not with team Friday

Dieng (recently traded) is out for Friday's game against the Pacers.

After not including Dieng on their initial game-day injury report, the Bucks have added the 22-year-old forward and listed him as out for Friday. His next chance to make his Milwaukee debut comes during Monday's meeting in Orlando against the Magic.

  • Luka Doncic PG | LAL

Lakers' Luka Doncic: Doubtful for Saturday

Doncic (hamstring) is doubtful for Saturday's game against Golden State, Dave McMenamin of ESPN.com reports.

McMenamin notes that there is some initial optimism that Doncic is not dealing with a major issue with his left hamstring. He was set to undergo imaging on Friday, and another update will likely be coming from the Lakers very shortly.

  • KJ Simpson PG | DEN

    KJ Simpson: Waived by Charlotte

The Hornets waived Simpson on Friday.

Originally selected by Charlotte with the 42nd overall pick in the 2024 NBA Draft, the second-year guard holds career averages of 7.3 points, 2.8 rebounds, 2.9 assists and 1.0 steals in 21.3 minutes per game across 50 appearances. He'll now be able to seek opportunities elsewhere.

  • Marcus Smart PG | LAL

Lakers' Marcus Smart: Could see expanded role

Smart ended Thursday's 119-115 victory over the 76ers with seven points (2-5 FG, 2-3 3Pt, 1-4 FT), four rebounds and five assists across 31 minutes.

Luka Doncic left Thursday's game early with hamstring soreness, putting Smart in a larger role at point guard for the Lakers. Doncic is set for further imaging, and if he misses upcoming contests, Smart could see increased minutes and responsibilities.

  • Josh Green SF | CHA

Hornets' Josh Green: Season-high four steals

Green produced 14 points (4-4 FG, 3-3 3Pt, 3-3 FT), one rebound, two assists, one block and four steals across 23 minutes during Thursday's 109-99 victory over Houston.

The four steals were a season high for Green, who still hasn't been consistent enough to warrant much attention in the vast majority of fantasy leagues. Green has averaged 5.0 points, 2.2 rebounds, 1.1 assists and 0.7 steals in 16.1 minutes per tilt in his last 10 games.

  • Kyle Anderson SF | MIN

Grizzlies' Kyle Anderson: Iffy for Friday

Anderson (illness) is questionable for Friday's game versus Portland.

Anderson wasn't on the morning injury report, but the Grizzlies have since added him, which doesn't bode well for his status. If Anderson is unable to debut Friday, that could open things up for Taylor Hendricks.

  • Timberwolves' Julian Phillips: Won't play Friday

Phillips (recently traded) will not play Friday against the Pelicans.

Phillips was acquired from Chicago on Thursday and will not play until his trade is finalized. He averaged just 9.5 minutes per game in a limited role with the Bulls, and he is not expected to see significant playing time in Minnesota initially.
