NFL: DEC 17 Texans at Titans

As I mentioned in my SportsLine article, there are several strategies to keep in mind these last couple weeks of Best Ball draft season. One strategy is to take advantage of falling ADP value.

This time of year, with injuries, NFL Preseason games, or "news" from beat reporters is causing wild ADP movement and sometimes dramatic drops in ADP that could be overblown.

One example is injuries. But if the injury will not keep the player off the field or only a couple of games, then it's likely worth buying the ADP dip. I mentioned this about QB Justin Herbert a couple of weeks ago.

You still can get an ADP discount on WR DeAndre Hopkins and he's likely to return for Week 1. WR Marquise Brown may not return until Week 2 or 3, but the discount you are getting on him is worth missing a game or two of his services.

You can also buy ADP dips on "news" or narratives either from beat reporters' reports or usage in preseason. There was concern about the percentage of WR Christian Kirk played in the first preseason game which caused a slight dip to his ADP. Then there's the report that WR Keenan Allen gained weight. I would buy the ADP dips on these reports that are likely overblown.

The bottom line, now is the time of year to take advantage of the ADP fallers for various reasons and buy the dip. You will get some interesting combinations that you likely hadn't drafted before as well.
