Dobbs (coach's decision) is inactive for Sunday night's game against the Cowboys, Nick Wagoner of ESPN.com reports.
Dobbs will once again operate as the team's emergency quarterback in Week 8. He'll only enter the game if both Brock Purdy and Brandon Allen are forced to exit with injuries.
