Jerod-Eddie exited Saturday's preseason game with an apparent chest injury, the San Francisco Chronicle reports.
Jerod-Eddie went down in the first quarter and did not return to the game. With both Arik Armstead (shoulder) and DeForest Buckner (leg) sitting out, he was getting reps with the 49ers' top defensive unit. Jerod-Eddie is currently competing for a backup defensive end job.
