Shampklin signed with the Steelers' practice squad Wednesday.
Shampklin was with Pittsburgh during training camp, but he was ultimately waived on cutdown day. His addition to the practice squad comes as the team placed Boston Scott on the injured list, so he'll help boost the organizational depth at running back while Scott is sidelined.
