Peterson (lower back) wasn't elevated from the practice squad in advance of Tuesday's game against the Rams, Bob Condotta of The Seattle Times reports.
Though Seattle is without two members of its running-back rotation (Alex Collins and Travis Homer) after both tested positive for COVID-19 in recent days, Peterson wasn't able to earn a call-up from the practice squad for the second week in a row. Since the Seahawks did elevate another running back (Josh Johnson), Peterson may still be working to recover from the sore lower back that has inhibited in him in practice of late. Peterson may be ready to go for Seattle's Week 16 game against the Bears, but even if he's added to the roster for that contest, he may find himself behind both Rashaad Penny and Collins in the pecking order for carries.
