The Vikings signed Estime to the practice squad Wednesday.
Estime worked out for the team Tuesday and will provide backfield depth behind Aaron Jones, Demond Claiborne and special-teamer DeeJay Dallas while Jordan Mason (thumb) remains on injured reserve for at least the next two games. Estime has handled 122 career regular-season carries for 508 yards and three touchdowns.
