Coach Matt Nagy said after Sunday's 17-7 loss to the Rams that Pineiro won't be replaced as Chicago's kicker after missing both of his field-goal attempts in the contest, Patrick Finley of the Chicago Sun-Times reports.
Pineiro misfired from 48 and 47 yards in the first quarter before knocking down an extra point in the second half for his lone scoring of the night. Though Nagy gave Pineiro a vote of confidence, it's still not out of the question that the Bears will explore other options after watching the second-year player miss four field goals and an extra-point attempt over the last four games.
