Bengals' Joe Burrow: Suffers finger injury in loss
Burrow completed 24 of 40 passes for 300 yards with a touchdown and two interceptions in the Bengals' 41-22 loss to the Chargers on Sunday. He also rushed once for six yards and lost a fumble, the latter a first-quarter play on which he suffered a a dislocated pinkie finger, Marisa Contipelli of the team's official site reports.
Burrow's injury ultimately didn't lead to a subpar fantasy day by any stretch, even though the two interceptions were certainly a blemish. However, the 2020 first overall pick hit the 300-yard mark for the third time this season and extended his streak with at least one touchdown pass to three games when he connected with Tee Higgins on a 29-yard scoring toss to start a comeback from 24-0. Paul Dehner Jr. of The Athletic reports Burrow stated after the game the injury will not cause him to miss any games, "unless it somehow gets worse." Assuming that's indeed the case, Burrow will be under center aiming to help the Bengals get over this disastrous home loss in a Week 14 interconference showdown against the visiting 49ers.
