  • Bengals' Joe Burrow: Practices fully Friday

Burrow (back) was a full participant in Friday's practice and feels good, Jay Morrison of SI.com reports.

With back tightness having limited Burrow earlier in the week, his return to a full practice is a positive sign ahead of Sunday's game at Houston. Coach Zac Taylor didn't mention if Burrow will carry an injury designation, but the final injury report will reveal that Friday afternoon.

  • Bengals' Joe Burrow: Throwing passes Friday morning

Burrow (back) was on the field in uniform and throwing passes at the start of Friday's practice, Kelsey Conway of The Cincinnati Enquirer reports.

Listed as a limited participant the previous two days, Burrow told reporters that he plans to play this Sunday at Houston. His continued participation, even if it's in a limited capacity, suggests he's still on track to suit up.

  • Bengals' Joe Burrow: Gets in another limited session

Burrow (back) was listed as a limited participant on Thursday's injury report, Jay Morrison of SI.com reports.

Burrow was limited for the second time in as many days, but he was able to throw passes and take part in positional drills during the portion of Thursday's session open to the media, which is more than he was able to do the day before. Burrow said Wednesday that he is planning to play in Week 2, and he seemingly remains on track to do so.

  • Bengals' Joe Burrow: Dealing with back tightness, expects to play

Burrow is dealing with back tightness but says he will play Sunday against the Texans, Kelsey Conway of The Cincinnati Enquirer reports.

Per Conway, Burrow threw only one pass during media viewing and was primarily working on handoffs at Wednesday's practice. Burrow later spoke with the media and mentioned dealing with back stiffness, but he added that he'll play Week 2. He didn't confirm whether he'll practice for the remainder of the week, however. Joe Flacco figures to get increased work with the starters in practice, but at this stage it appears Burrow will be able to suit up Sunday.

  • Bengals' Joe Burrow: May be dealing with injury

Burrow wasn't involved in the team stretch and didn't make any throws of substance during Wednesday's practice, Kelsey Conway of The Cincinnati Enquirer reports.

Prior to the stretch, Burrow made throws of roughly 15 yards apart along with backup QB Joe Flacco, per Paul Dehner Jr. of The Athletic. Dehner added that head coach Zac Taylor said Monday that some Bengals would be limited in practice this week, but none of those health concerns were major. Burrow is scheduled to speak with the media Wednesday afternoon, while Cincinnati will post its first Week 2 injury report imminently, so clarity on his situation should arrive in the near future.

  • Bengals' Joe Burrow: Solid in season-opening win

Burrow completed 25 of 35 passes for 254 yards with one touchdown and one interception and rushed five times for 20 yards in the Bengals' 33-27 win over the Buccaneers on Sunday.

The Bengals have curiously struggled on offense in multiple Week 1 games during Burrow's tenure, but the star signal-caller was in solid form Sunday while connecting with nine different targets overall. Burrow hit Mike Gesicki on a two-yard touchdown late in the first quarter for the quarterback's one scoring toss, although his sole interception did result in a pick-six late in the third quarter. The costly turnover aside, the 2020 first overall pick's encouraging performance -- which came despite top receiver Ja'Marr Chase recording just two receptions for 12 yards -- affords Burrow some momentum heading into a Week 2 road showdown against the Texans next Sunday.
