The Bengals placed Waynes (pectoral) on injured reserve Monday.

Waynes underwent surgery to repair a torn pectoral muscle in August, and while he'll be eligible to return after three weeks, he's expected to miss a significant portion of the 2020 season. The Bengals' secondary lacked depth already, and it's unclear if Mackensie Alexander (personal) will be available for Week 1's matchup versus the Chargers. William Jackson, LeShaun Sims and Tony Brown are expected to handle most of the workload.
