  • Bengals' Shemar Stewart: Disappoints during rookie campaign

Stewart recorded 11 total tackles (five solo), including 1.0 sacks, and one pass defensed across eight regular-season games in 2025.

Stewart, a 2025 first-round pick from Texas A&M, didn't participate in the Bengals' offseason program and failed to report to training camp on time due to a post-draft contract dispute. This may have contributed to his slow start in the NFL, as he recorded just six total tackles over his first five games. Stewart also struggled to stay healthy, missing nine contests due to a lingering knee injury. Despite the setbacks, the 22-year-old likely will operate as one of the Bengals' top edge rushers during the 2026 season.

  • Bengals' Jalen Davis: Role grows in 2025

Davis posted 20 total tackles (seven solo), including 1.0 sacks, one interception and one forced fumble over seven regular-season games in 2025.

Davis has been with the Bengals' organization since 2020 but had primarily been a special-teamer prior to this season. After being promoted from the practice squad to the active roster in early December, the Utah State product started three of Cincinnati's final seven games and logged a career-high 270 defensive snaps. Now set to enter unrestricted free agency this offseason, Davis could find work with a team in need of secondary depth ahead of the 2026 season.

  • Bengals' Cedric Johnson: Improves in Year 2

Johnson tallied 20 total tackles (11 solo), including 2.0 sacks, across nine regular-season games in 2025.

Johnson, a 2024 sixth-round pick from Ole Miss, set career highs in total tackles and sacks while logging 207 defensive snaps during his second NFL season. He missed the first eight games of Cincinnati's 2025 campaign but came on strong late in the year, with all of his sacks coming over the final two weeks of the regular season. Under contract through 2027, Johnson is expected to remain one of the Bengals' top reserve defensive ends next season.

  • Bengals' T.J. Slaton: Career year in Cincinnati

Slaton recorded 52 total tackles (19 solo), including 3.0 sacks, across 17 regular-season games in 2025.

Slaton continued his iron-man streak this season, having now played five years in the NFL without missing a regular-season game. In his first year with the Bengals, the Florida product set career highs in total tackles and sacks while operating as one of the team's top interior defensive linemen. Entering the second season of his two-year, $14.1 million deal signed last offseason, Slaton is expected to remain an integral part of Cincinnati's defense in 2026.

  • Bengals' Joe Flacco: Makes 10 starts during 2025 season

Flacco completed 251 of 416 passes for 2,479 yards, 15 touchdowns and 10 interceptions across 13 regular-season games, including 10 starts, during the 2025 season.

Flacco opened the 2025 campaign as the Browns' Week 1 starter but led Cleveland to a 1-3 record and was benched following Week 4 after completing just 58.1 percent of his passes with a miserable 2:6 TD:INT. Flacco was then traded to the division-rival Bengals ahead of Week 6 after Joe Burrow suffered an early-season turf-toe injury. Flacco went on to make six starts for the Bengals and appeared in nine total games for Cincinnati, completing 61.7 percent of his throws with 13 touchdowns to just four interceptions. Flacco was actually fantasy's overall QB9 from Weeks 6 to 12 as the Bengals' starter. Now 41 years old, it's unclear if the free-agent-to-be is interested in continuing his playing career in 2026.
