Lions tight end Brandon Pettigrew is ceding his spot as the top pass-catching tight end to rookie Eric Ebron, notes the Detroit Free Press. Pettigrew is O.K. with blocking more.
"Whatever it is, I’m a team guy," he said. "You know that. Everybody here has the same goal. We’re trying to win."
Pettigrew signed a four-year, $16 million contract this offseason despite the fact that his receptions and yards have dropped three straight years.
