Brian Hoyer's final stats -- 321 passing yards and three touchdowns with three interceptions -- are enough to get your attention, but there's some alarming signs that point to him being a less-than-ideal Fantasy quarterback.
Let's start with his completion percentage: 55.5 pct. He completed 30 of 54 passes! We could see his completion percentage improve a little over time but it's not exactly the sign of a great Fantasy passer. Hoyer also had just 5.9 yards per pass attempt, another sign of a less-than-ideal Fantasy quarterback.
What helps Hoyer is a receiving corps that features Josh Gordon and Jordan Cameron. They combined for all three of Hoyer's scores along with 201 of his 321 yards.
Where Hoyer fits in is as a potential second quarterback in leagues that start two or as a bye-week replacement. I wouldn't add him in typical 8-, 10- or 12-team leagues. Probably not in 14-team leagues either. He's still someone I'd pass on in Week 4 vs. Cincinnati.
