Mayfield underwent an X-ray on his right knee following the Browns' 45-7 loss to the Patriots on Sunday, with the tests revealing no structural damage, Jake Trotter of ESPN.com reports.
Per Nate Ulrich of the Akron Beacon Journal, head coach Kevin Stefanski expects Mayfield to be able to play next weekend against the Lions. That said, the signal-caller -- who is playing through a torn labrum in his left shoulder -- said after Sunday's loss that he's banged up and will take things day by day during the upcoming week per Ulrich.
