The Browns elevated Ryan from the practice squad to the active roster Wednesday.
Ryan has suited up seven times for the Browns so far this season. With another elevation ahead of Week 9, the 23-year-old is eligible to play for Cleveland once again against the Saints. He has spent the majority of his in-game snaps on special teams.
