Whitehead (groin) was listed as a limited participant on the Buccaneers' injury report Wednesday.
Whitehead suffered a groin injury in Week 4 against the Falcons on Thursday Night Football. His practice participation Thursday and Friday will provide clarity on his status heading into Sunday's game against the Saints. Through the first five games of the regular season, Whitehead has accumulated 36 tackles (24 solo) and three passes defended.
