Palmer brought in his only target for 10 yards in the Buccaneers' 20-7 preseason loss to the Jaguars on Saturday night.
Palmer and his primary competition for the No. 3 receiver job, rookie Jalen McMillan, both had one reception, so the competition appears destined to be settled in Friday night's preseason finale against the Dolphins. Palmer naturally has an experience edge on McMillan, but the latter has been building momentum throughout training camp, and the similar talent level of each likely makes the final exhibition contest the deciding factor.
