Thompson (quadriceps/hamstring) has been ruled out for Sunday's game against the Rams, Eric Smith of the Chargers' official site reports.
Thompson didn't play a snap in Week 6 against the Chiefs despite being active for the contest due to a lingering quadriceps injury. He'll be inactive for Sunday's game, so KeAndre Lambert-Smith, Theo Wease and Derius Davis are all candidates for a bump in offensive snaps. Thompson's next chance to play is Week 9 against the Texans on Sunday, Nov. 8.
