Jones caught two passes for 21 yards on three targets in Sunday's preseason game against the Vikings.
Jones played into the fourth quarter, long after Dontrelle Inman and Tyrell Williams had already been removed from the game. The Chargers wanted to add a veteran after Steve Johnson (knee) suffered a season-ending injury, but there's been nothing to suggest Jones will have a significant role in the offense. He'll likely be fighting for his roster spot in the final preseason game.
