Butker (ankle) didn't practice Tuesday.

Though Butker wasn't forced to exit the Week 1 win over the Cardinals and converted a 54-yard field goal and all four of his extra-point tries, the 27-year-old is still nursing an ankle sprain that left him unable to handle kickoffs. The Chiefs are currently viewing Butker as day-to-day, but he'll likely need to practice in some capacity Wednesday to play in Thursday's game against the Chargers. The Chiefs signed Matt Ammendola to their practice squad Monday, and he would presumably be elevated to the 53-man roster by Thursday if Butker is ruled out this week.
