Simmons (back) is officially listed as out for Sunday's game versus Indianapolis, Matt McMullen of the Chiefs' official site reports.
Simmons was unable to practice during the week as he continues to deal with a back injury, and he'll have to wait at least one more game to make his 2026 regular-season debut. Undrafted rookie Kahlil Benson projects to get another start at left tackle in Week 2.
