The Chiefs placed Reid (undisclosed) on the active/non-football injury list Sunday, Matt Derrick of ChiefsDigest.com reports.
It's not yet clear what sort of issue Reid is dealing with, though those details may be shared following Sunday's practice. The veteran safety is eligible to be activated at any time during the preseason, at which point he'd be able to practice and play in exhibition contests.
