The Chiefs signed Ingram off their practice squad Wednesday.
With Isiah Pacheco (fibula) landing on injured reserve Wednesday and set to miss at least six weeks, Ingram will bolster Kansas City's backfield depth ahead of Sunday's game against the Falcons. For now, Carson Steele and Samaje Perine are the other backs on the team's active roster, with Clyde Edwards-Helaire on the reserve/non-football illness and ineligible for activation until Week 5 and Kareem Hunt having just been signed to the practice squad. For now, Ingram will likely be behind Steele and Perine in the mix for work out of the backfield, and once Hunt is up to speed with the offense, he could be elevated and also move ahead of Ingram in the pecking order.
