Smith, who was placed on season-ending IR in December of the 2015 season, suffered a setback with his knee injury this offseason according to Colts GM Ryan Grigson, Mike Chappell of Indysportscentral.com reports.
Smith appeared in just four games throughout his rookie season after being unable to reach 100 percent following knee surgery earlier in the year. He continues to have issues with the knee, which could impact his status for training camp and beyond, while it's unclear if he'll be back to full health by the time Week 1 rolls around.
