Foles will start at quarterback in Monday's game against the Chargers, JJ Stankevitz of the Colts official site reports. "I feel like Nick will give us a better chance to win these last three games," interim head coach Jeff Saturday said Wednesday.
Foles will take over the reins of the Indianapolis offense for Matt Ryan, who returns to the bench after the 4-9-1 Colts surrendered a 33-point lead in last week's overtime loss to the Vikings. Though Foles' recent track record doesn't make him a comfortable starting option in leagues that start just one quarterback, he could have some utility in two-quarterback or superflex formats Week 16. Saturday said that he hasn't decided whether Ryan or Sam Ehlinger will back up Foles on Monday, while adding that Indianapolis' plan at quarterback will be evaluated on a week-to-week basis for the final three games of the season.
