Gesicki secured two of three targets for 22 yards during the Dolphins' 33-24 win over the Patriots in their season finale.
Gesicki put together a career year in 2021, finishing the campaign with 73 catches on 112 targets for 780 yards and two touchdowns in 17 appearances. This offseason the Dolphins will need to make a decision about Gesicki's future with the team, as he is currently set for free agency. The team could opt to franchise tag the tight end, either to keep him in the fold or trade him and get some return on investment. After operating as essentially the team's No. 2 receiving option for most of 2021, Gesicki's value to the Dolphins' offense is clear. However, with coaching changes already having been made, it's unclear how much importance Miami will place on positional continuity this offseason.
