Hurts completed 29 of 38 passes for 311 yards with no touchdowns and one interception and added eight carries for 25 yards in the Eagles' 21-15 win over the Saints on Sunday. He also lost a fumble.
Hurts' final numbers are made all the more remarkable by the fact he was working with a skeleton crew at receiver by the fourth quarter of the close victory. He started the day without A.J. Brown (hamstring) and then lost DeVonta Smith to a head injury in the second half, but he still managed to lead a five-play, 69-yard game-winning march in which he recorded a 61-yard completion to Dallas Goedert that set up Saquon Barkley's go-ahead, four-yard touchdown run. Hurts' passing yardage total ironically was his highest through three games, but despite the Eagles' ability to escape with a victory, he and his teammates will be in dire straits offensively heading into a Week 4 road matchup against the Buccaneers if neither Brown nor Smith are available.
