Miami Dolphins stats to know
Already making the rounds is a sound byte from new coach Mike McDaniel all but promising a big year for receiver Jaylen Waddle. As a rookie, Waddle ranked 15th with 14.9 PPR points per game. But the splits based on who his quarterback was mattered quite a bit.
- Waddle with Tagovailoa (10 games): 17.7 PPR points per game
- Waddle without Tagovailoa (five games): 10.4 PPR points per game
- Waddle in Week 10 with Tagovailoa missing about half the game: 10 PPR points
While Waddle's catch rate was very similar regardless of quarterback, it was Tagovailoa who provided seven targets over 20 routes run inside of 10 yards to Waddle compared to one target on 13 routes run inside the 10 from Jacoby Brissett. All six of Waddle's rookie-year scores came from Tagovailoa too. There's massive potential here in PPR leagues, and maybe even some good numbers in non-PPR too.
