No. 2 overall pick Jayden Daniels hasn't thrown a touchdown pass in his young career, but he has rushed for two scores and been efficient when asked to move the ball through the air. Daniels is completing 75.5% of his passes over his first two games and is averaging 7.7 yards per pass attempt, 10th best in the NFL. Where does he belong in the Week 3 Fantasy football QB rankings and can you trust him in your Week 3 Fantasy football lineups?
Difficult Fantasy football start-sit decisions are just about everywhere you turn this week with notable names like Isiah Pacheco (leg), Cooper Kupp (ankle) and Deebo Samuel (calf) expected to miss multiple games moving forward. Top Week 3 Fantasy football QB rankings
Here's a look at SportsLine's top Week 3 Fantasy football QB picks:
1. Joe Burrow, Cincinnati Bengals: Burrow struggled in Cincinnati's season opener, but he bounced back in a big way against Kansas City. Burrow completed 23 passes for 258 yards and two touchdowns in Cincinnati's loss to the Chiefs. He'll lead the Bengals against the Washington Commanders on Monday, a defense that's giving up 27.5 points per game.
2. Josh Allen, Buffalo Bills: Allen continues to dominate for Fantasy owners with both his arm and legs. Thus far this season, Allen has completed 31 of 42 pass attempts for 371 yards and three touchdowns. He's also recorded 11 carries for 41 yards and two scores. He'll continue to do it all when the Bills take on the Jacksonville Jaguars on Monday.
3. Kyler Murray, Arizona Cardinals: Murray is having a stellar bounce-back year for the Cardinals. In last week's victory over the Rams, Murray completed 81% of his passes for 266 yards and three touchdowns. He also added 59 rushing yards against Los Angeles, bringing his season total up to 116 rushing yards. See more top QBs here.
Top Week 3 Fantasy football RB rankings
Here's a look at SportsLine's top Week 3 Fantasy football RB picks:
1. De'Von Achane, Miami Dolphins: Raheem Mostert and Jeff Wilson were both limited participants in practice on Wednesday and are listed as questionable on the injury report. However, even if they weren't, it's becoming more and more clear that Achane is the most dynamic backfield option Miami has. He's piled up 265 scrimmage yards in two weeks and scored a touchdown in each game.
2. Alvin Kamara, New Orleans Saints: Kamara was viewed by some as a regression candidate heading into 2024 but new offensive coordinator Klint Kubiak continues to make him central to every offensive gameplan. After piling up 110 scrimmage yards and scoring a touchdown in the opener, Kamara had 180 scrimmage yards and scored four times in a win over the Cowboys last week.
3. Saquon Barkley, Philadelphia Eagles: Barkley's only real misstep in his first two weeks with the Eagles was a third-down drop on Monday night that cost them the game. However, that should be of almost zero concern to Fantasy managers, with Barkley rushing for 204 yards and two touchdowns with six catches for 44 yards and another score over his first two games. See more top RBs here.
Top Week 3 Fantasy football WR rankings
Here's a look at SportsLine's top Week 3 Fantasy football WR picks:
1. CeeDee Lamb, Dallas Cowboys: After 86 total yards against a Cleveland defense which was best in the league last year, Lamb then had 90 yards and a score in Week 2 versus New Orleans. He will face Baltimore in Week 3, but these aren't the same defensively dominant Ravens from a year ago as no team has allowed more passing yards than Baltimore this season.
2. Justin Jefferson, Minnesota Vikings: Jefferson suffered a quad contusion on Sunday but is on track to suit up in Week 3. He had a career-high 97-yard TD reception before picking up the injury and will get to face a Houston defense that has already allowed three 50-yard plays to WRs this season, two of which went for touchdowns.
3. Amon-Ra St. Brown, Detroit Lions: Jared Goff and St. Brown haven't quite been on the same page this season, but even with that, the wideout is averaging seven receptions for 66 yards per game. On Sunday, he will face an Arizona defense which ranked 31st last season, and St. Brown had a stat line of 8-90-1 in his lone previous game against the Cardinals in 2021. See more top WRs here.
Top Week 3 Fantasy football TE rankings
Here's a look at SportsLine's top Week 3 Fantasy football TE picks:
1. Trey McBride, Arizona Cardinals: McBride was effective in Arizona's lopsided win over the Rams in Week 2. McBride hauled in all six of his targets for 67 yards in Sunday's 41-10 win over Los Angeles. The 2022 second-round pick has quietly provided 11 receptions for 97 yards through two games in his first season as the No. 1 option at TE.
2. George Kittle, San Francisco 49ers: Kittle remains one of the most consistent tight ends in the league and he's coming off a strong showing against the Vikings, recording seven receptions for 76 yards and a touchdown. On Sunday, the 49ers take on the Los Angeles Rams, a defense that gave up 41 points last week to the Cardinals.
3. Travis Kelce, Kansas City Chiefs: Kelce is off to a slow start for Fantasy owners. He has just 39 receiving yards on the season heading into Week 3 against the Falcons. However, Kelce remains Patrick Mahomes' most reliable target, and the veteran TE is expected to see his usage increase with Isiah Pacheco sidelined with a leg injury. See more top TEs here.
Top Week 3 Fantasy football defense rankings
Here's a look at SportsLine's top three Week 3 Fantasy football D/ST picks:
1. Browns D/ST: The Browns entered the season with high expectations on the defensive side of the ball, and for the most part they have lived up to their billing as one of the top-five defenses in the NFL. Cleveland is coming off a dominant performance in Week 2 where it limited the Jacksonville Jaguars to 13 points while racking up four sacks. The Browns host a struggling New York Giants team that averages only 12.0 points per game in Week 3.
2. Raiders D/ST: The Raiders are coming off a massive road upset win over the Baltimore Ravens in Week 2, and have an excellent matchup from a fantasy perspective in Week 3. The Raiders host the winless Carolina Panthers in Las Vegas with the chance to have a massive fantasy output on Sunday. Carolina is averaging only 6.5 points per game this season, and recently benched second-year quarterback Bryce Young in favor of veteran journeyman Andy Dalton.
3. Packers D/ST: The Packers are also coming off an impressive defensive performance in Week 2, and face a struggling Tennessee Titans offense in Week 3. Green Bay limited the Indianapolis Colts to 10 points last week while notching three interceptions. The Packers will be facing a quarterback in Will Levis who has turned the ball over five times in two games (three interceptions, two fumbles). See more top D/ST here.
