Taylor has undergone sports hernia surgery and will be sidelined until training camp, NJ.com reports.
Taylor was working with the Giants' first-team defense at free safety earlier this spring, but will now be sidelined after his latest surgery. Typically, sports hernia surgery requires 4-to-6 weeks of recovery time, and the Giants open training camp in five weeks. That puts Taylor on the fringe of being ready once camp starts, but until then, teammates Nat Berhe, Bennett Jackson and rookie third-rounder Darian Thompson figure to benefit from extra practice reps.
