Jones completed 22 of 42 passes for 186 yards, no touchdowns and two interceptions in Sunday's 28-6 loss to the Vikings. He added six rushing attempts for 15 yards.
Jones failed to lead the Giants into the end zone, threw a pick-six in the third quarter and was intercepted in Minnesota's end zone in the fourth. Expectations were already low for Jones after he posted a 2:6 TD:INT before a season-ending ACL tear last season, but he failed to clear even that low bar in his return to action. He'll have a nice opportunity to bounce back in Week 2, when the Giants travel to Washington to face the Commanders, against whom Jones is 5-1-1 with a 10:3 TD:INT and 324 rushing yards in his career.
