Newsome (concussion) did not participate at practice Wednesday, Dan Salomone of the Giants' official site reports.
Newsome was knocked out of Sunday's game versus the Saints early by a concussion, and now his availability for Week 7 is in jeopardy. He'll have to clear the NFL's five-step concussion protocol before getting the green light to return to full-contact football activities, and whether he's able to return to practice Thursday or Friday may shed some light on any potential progress.
