Lawrence completed 18 of 33 passes for 169 yards and two touchdowns in Sunday's 24-20 loss to the Texans. He also rushed three times for five yards and committed a fumble recovered by Jacksonville.
Despite another meager yardage total, Lawrence tossed multiple TDs in a game for the first time this season, hitting rookie Brian Thomas for a two-yard strike in the first quarter and Christian Kirk for an eight-yard score in the third. The latter gave the Jaguars a 20-17 lead, which looked like it might hold up until the team's defense failed to stop C.J. Stroud on the Texans' final drive. Lawrence will try to finish the job and give Jacksonville its first win of 2024 in Week 5 against Indianapolis.
