Brown was released by the Colts on Sunday, Kevin Bowen of Colts.com reports.
Brown missed some time in the preseason due to an ankle injury, but was able to make the team following Saturday's 53-man roster cut deadline. However, the Colts made a few waiver claims on Sunday and needed to free up some space, so Brown ended up being cut. The 28-year-old saw action in just eight games with the Colts last season and recorded 22 tackles.
