Wolford was released by the Buccaneers on Tuesday, Scott Smith of the team's official site reports.
The quarterback suffered a rib injury during the preseason and was unable to beat out Kyle Trask for the backup role behind Baker Mayfield. Wolford last saw regular-season action in 2022 with the Rams.
