Boyce was released by the Colts on Tuesday, Zak Keefer of the Indianapolis Star reports.
The decision comes as somewhat of a surprise, given that Boyce was in the mix to serve as Indy's No. 4 wide receiver. Head coach Chuck Pagano hinted that the team is looking for a veteran (or two) to join a young position group, with spots up for grabs behind the leading trio of T.Y. Hilton, Donte Moncrief and Phillip Dorsett.
