Montgomery rushed 23 times for 105 yards and a touchdown while catching all three of his targets for 17 yards in Sunday's 20-13 win over the Cardinals.

Montgomery has a one-yard rushing touchdown in all three of Detroit's games this season, and he checked that accomplishment off on the opening drive against Arizona. He wasn't as successful on a key short-yardage carry in the third quarter, getting stuffed for no gain on fourth-and-1. Nonetheless, Montgomery set new season highs in both carries and rushing yards. Jahmyr Gibbs is the superior pass catcher in Detroit's backfield, but Montgomery has also been reliable in that regard, having caught all eight of his targets this season. Montgomery will try to extend his touchdown streak to seven consecutive regular-season games in Week 4 against the Seahawks.
